Nina Butkovich-Budden is Croatian born hair stylist with a passion for vintage hairdressing, make up and couture. Her extensive knowledge of individualistic and iconic looks ranging from 1900’s until today has given her the ability to create highly distinctive, original and spellbinding looks of the yesteryear.
The vision of glamour and ultimate femininity becomes reality within the walls of UK’s first and only vintage and retro specialised hair salon-”Nina’s Hair Parlour” in London on the arty Southbank.
For over a decade Nina has worked in the fashion, entertainment and burlesque industries recreating period looks based on her encyclopaedic knowledge of styles from the 1900’s.
She is a period style consultant for the Young Vic Theatre and has worked on “The Member of the Wedding” by Carson McCullers, “Ma Vie En Rose” imaginatively directed play by Pete Harris and for the Big Brecht Festival in Señora Carrar’s Rifles, How much is your iron? and The Jewish Wife with Anastasia Hille.
Also, Nina has been contributing to some online fashion magazines, has her own column in a new French pin-up magazine “Origin’Elles” and has worked on fashion shows here and abroad.
Nina’s Hair Parlour supports some young international fashion design talent like Nicole Moan Ceramic Corsetry and “Bite My Style”label by Zoran Aragovic shown on Zagreb Fashion Week as his sponsor and head hair, make up and headwear artist..
